Fashion In Motion AT THE V&A 2025
We’ve a longtime love of the V&A’s Fashion in Motion for showcasing established and upcoming designers. Our creative director Luke Pluckrose leads L’Oréal Professionnel’s hair teams for stunning shows over the years, including Harris Reed, Minju Kim, and ‘Inspired by Balenciaga’.
EDEN LOWETH X MAGGI HAMBLING
The first event of 2025 brought together the rebellious spirits of designer Eden Loweth and artist Maggi Hambling with their tribute to late filmmaker Derek Jarman.
Eden Loweth – co-founder of ART SCHOOL – is known for embracing bodies beyond the binary in his work. Painter and sculptor Maggi Hambling was the first Artist in Residence at the National Gallery from 1980–81 and is regarded as one of the UK’s greatest artists.
L’OREAL PORTFOLIO TEAM
Luke was asked to interpret hair looks for this collaboration, leading a ten-strong team including three of our very own session styling superstars…

Macy at Saks Crouch End
Shannon at Saks Hexham

The brief was to compliment the model’s individuality and work up texture with real feeling. Fine. By. Us.
APPRECIATION FROM OUR APPRENTICE
When Saks stylists express an interest in session styling at shoots and shows, we take note. And this is right up apprentice Izzy’s street and her second session styling gig, having also rocked Graduate Fashion Week in September 24 along with Shannon and Macy.
Izzy says “We get amazing opportunities at Saks, and being chosen for Fashion in Motion tops it! Assisting Luke is inspiring and insightful. I’m grateful for this and for the support of our fab Saksy people. As an apprentice I’m very much taking everything in, I want to learn new things in salon and backstage!
“I always dreamed of doing something to do with fashion and being in a creative industry and this feels surreal. The hair brief was natural. To amplify the natural beauty of our models. I felt comfortable with Luke’s guidance and how to use new techniques!”
