What’s your new hair and beauty?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

As we navigate emerging post-pandemic, we’ve all changed a bit – how couldn’t we? How we do stuff. What we want for ourselves. And this may also apply to what you want from Saks.

During consultations, we’re so enjoying finding out where you’re at. Maybe you’re channelling a new narrative, all for getting right back to your usual hair and beauty routines or wanting more glam please? Maybe you’re going more natural or planning project nurturing-of-self. As always, we’ll listen, give our best advice and provide hair and beauty that’s 100% right for you.

Here our Saks Faces comment on hot trends that we can’t get enough of atm and we showcase a myriad of gorgeous looks from the Saks grid…

HITTING THE HAIR CHAIR

Jess Hesp of Saks Barnard Castle says: “Hair trends? So many! Liking the surge in mid-length styles – lots of versatile, easy to grow a bit longer lobs and bobs. And some customers are going for softer colours having seen their natural skin-flattering colour come through and wanting to enhance that.”

Shannon Currah of Saks Hexham agrees: “Yes, and these colours are versatile and easy to maintain… beachy bronde locks  and using Kerastase’s Blonde Absolu range, for deep ultraviolet care for lightened or highlighted hair. We’re also loving customers embracing the grey – our toners are fabulous for enhancing crisp silver-tones.”

Nicola Hughes of Saks Chester adds “And we can’t get enough of the face-framing 90s-inspired money-piece trend – as rocked by Beyonce and Dua and many more. From subtle to make your eyes pop to heavier chunks for a bolder, defined look.”

WE’VE GOT YOUR BACK

Debbie of Saks Guisborough says: “There’s an emphasis on transforming how you feel, rather than how you look at the mo. Lots of back massages given everyone’s been working from home in makeshift offices – at the kitchen table – and over a long period it’s manifesting into ongoing aches and tension.”

AND WE’VE SO GOT YOUR GLAM!

Hollie says “More glam coming through too! Customers being more daring, going for That Nail Colour and vamping up lashes – celebrating being able to get dressed up and go out!  If there is ever a time to change your habits and personal style the time’s now. Treat yourself to your monthly mani/pedi, restorative facial or luxuriant massage – go for it, change is good – me-time can make all the difference!”

STILL SAKS4EVE

Nikala at Saks Kings Hill, says: “Such a tough year but our Saks faces are always up for doing our bit for our national charity partner, The Eve Appeal. Doing a Go Red day, getting lippy and raising awareness for gynaecological cancers is important and it’s great fun – we’ve been fitting them in around lockdowns. Speaking of lockdowns – we were also doing Saks4Eve challenges then as well. Our customers get why we do it and LOVE joining in. Spirits are raised along with funds and awareness – hair, beauty and wellbeing is how we roll at Saks!”
