Saks4Eve is Special

How do we do our fundraising? Deep breath… let’s go… In Saks salons we Make Time for Tea, we Get Lippy, we have the snazziest raffles, we get gynae with our chat, we give hair and beauty appointments for donations. Out of hours we are *delighted* to walk, run, trek, sea dip, skydive, zip wire and wade through mud.

About the five Gynaecological cancers

There are FIVE gynaecological cancers: womb, ovarian, cervical, vulval and vaginal, all with different signs and symptoms.

Knowing the key symptoms to look out for can help you spot anything worrying and get checked at the earliest opportunity. The symptoms are most likely to be caused by something less serious than cancer, but it is always worth checking just in case. The earlier a cancer is caught the more treatment options available.

The key signs to look out for are…

Unusual vaginal bleeding or discharge, including any bleeding after the menopause
Persistent bloating, feeling full more quickly or nausea
A persistent itch, lump or changes to the vulval skin or vagina
Unexplained lower back, abdominal or pelvic pain.
