MEET OUR SAKS SOUTH SHIELDS FACES
Our top team are an experienced, friendly bunch of South Shields hairdressers. At Saks, we’re trained by the very best. It’s what separates Saks from the rest. It’s what we do the best. It’s. That. Simple.
Our salon owner, Lynn Harvey, first joined Saks back in the 80s. After many happy years working alongside key Saks people, she decided to take the leap and open her own salon in South Shields in 1990. And that’s when she found the perfect spot on King Street, where the salon shone for 17 years, before relocating to Fowler Street, where we’ve remained ever since. And we’re super proud of our heritage.

LYNN
SALON OWNER & DIRECTOR
Our fabulous salon Owner and Director is a true Saks legend. Lynn first started her career at a neighbouring north east Saks salon in 1981, moving to a second Saks salon, before opening the doors to our Saks hair salon in South Shields in 1990. Lynn’s Saks heritage doesn’t end there, as she’s also worked as a hair educator, been a member of the Saks Art Team, and worked on hair shows for both Saks and L’Oreal Professional. Today, Lynn continues to attend regular hair training sessions to keep on top of new trends, as well as working with her team to get inspired with up-and-coming techniques.
SHIREEN
SENIOR STYLIST
A legend in our salon family, Shireen is Saks through and through. With a passion for creative colour including everything from balayage and babylights, to colour correction work, Shireen loves attending Saks and L’Oreal colouring, creative cutting and hair-up courses. Her aim is to work with every customer to ensure they achieve their perfect look. Whilst giving her scissors a rest, Shireen loves to travel with her hubby and spending time with Teddy, her Pomeranian dog.
LEANNE
STYLIST
Leanne just loves her Saks fam, having completed her hair apprenticeship with Saks, she tried her had at a different profession but quickly reaffirmed that hairdressing is her one and only passion, so joined our team with no looking back. A people lover, always helping the team and customers with exciting hair transformations such as short crops and pixie looks, Leanne says “Never give up, life is too short. Live life to the full”. Away from work Leanne loves singing, family... and Hank (her dog).
JASMINE
JUNIOR STYLIST
Jasmine first joined us as a trainee and will soon be fully-fledged in all aspects of hairdressing, attending Saks cutting and colouring courses which she absolutely loves. With an abundance of confidence Jasmine enjoys making all of our customers feel at ease and loves the challenge of achieving a customer’s desired look, all topped off with a happy smile. In her free time, spending time with Rocco the dog, and boyfriend, is her fave way to live her best life.
