Andrea says “I love my fabulous Hexham hairdressers! We’re big fundraisers and have raised over £14,000 over the past three years for The Eve Appeal – incredibly proud of how they have also embraced fundraising… as well as providing gorgeous hair. We have regular team nights out, our motto is “Work hard, play harder!”

ANDREA
SALON OWNER
Andrea has proudly owned Saks Hexham for 20 years, bringing passion, energy and real dedication to the salon and the Saks network. She loves being a hairdresser just as much now as she did at 18 and has always thrown herself into everything Saks has to offer. A standout moment came in 2023 when the salon won Saks Hair Salon of the Year, closely followed by a fantastic team trip to Ibiza after winning a L’Oréal competition. Andrea will be retiring this April after an incredible career and, as she prepares for this next chapter, she is no longer taking on new bookings.
SHANNON
SALON DIRECTOR AND MANAGER
Shannon’s been with us for 9 years. And what a great time it’s been - new salon, happy team and lots of awards! “I'm over the moon to have won Saks Awards - Avant Garde Image and Special Recognition Award. As well as two national awards at Salon Business and England’s Business Awards.” Shannon is a member of the Saks A-Team and can’t wait to get stuck in to being oh-so creative. JESSICA
SALON DIRECTOR AND ASSISTANT MANAGER
Jess is a Senior Stylist and L’Oreal Colour Specialist here at Saks Hexham. She’s been hairdressing for 10 years with Saks and loves every part of it! She specialises in all things colour.. Blondes, brunettes and creative colours. She’s been nominated twice for the Saks Stylist image award, was a finalist three times in the Loreal colour trophy and won Saks Barber of the year 2020. “Within the Saks company I have been part of the A - team which includes editorial sessions and wig styling. I’ve also completed my L’Oréal colour specialist degree with distinction level. Out of the salon I enjoy hill walking and exploring the UK sampling cakes and coffee as we go!” To see her work follow @jessicahairhexham
EMMA
SALON DIRECTOR & L’OREAL COLOUR SPECIALIST
Emma is our salon’s L'Oreal Colour Specialist with 28 years’ hairdressing experience - 20 of them here at Saks Hexham. She just loves anything to do with colour, specialising in creative and vivid styles . She’s also known for her precision cutting. Emma is a Kerastase Ambassador so if you need product advice, she’s your go-to girl. Follow @emma_b_saks_hexham.
ISLA
HAIR STYLIST
Isla joined Saks in November 2023 from the Isle of Arran and has enjoyed every part of learning. Isla began her hairdressing career with winning the L'Oreal Colour Trophy Future Talent Award 2024 and becoming a finalist in L'Oreal Colour Trophy Star Award 2025, British Hairdressing Business Award and winning Saks Apprentice of the Year 2025. She loves being creative and having fun, especially when it comes to competitions. She aspires to learn all things curly and combine her creativeness with colour.
