SALON OWNER/FRONT OF HOUSE
Our boss with over 40 years’ experience in hair and beauty. Having opened the salon in 2000 - what a journey it’s been. She loves that her and the team put customers first. Between running a successful salon, her family and not forgetting her fur babies Otto and Betsy, Chris loves going to gym and holidays – they’re absolute life to Christine and her husband, mainly cruises and city breaks. Ask her where she hasn’t been!
NICOLA
SALON MANAGER
Nicola has been with Saks for over 25 years. She came to Chester-le-Street when it opened in 2000 and was promoted to Salon Manager in 2009. With many hairdressing successes from winning several awards to becoming a L’Oreal Colour Specialist and everything in between. Nicola enjoys the gym, catching up with friends and being a devoted footy mum. But holidays and weekends away with family are what she loves most.
STACEY
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Stacey’s been with us since she was just 15, starting out as a Saturday girl and continuing on to be the successful stylist she is today. Completing her L’Oreal Colour Specialist degree, being a Kerastase Ambassador and Avant-garde finalist are her special hairdressing moments, as well as being in-salon educator for our apprentices. Stacey is a mam of two boys, so life is football mad, spending most of her times in fields. She also enjoys nothing better than food and drink with family and friends.
STACEY LOUISE
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Known in the salon as ‘Stacey Louise’, she joined us in 2007 as an Apprentice and continued on to be the fantastic stylist she is now. Stacey has completed many education courses including the L’Oreal Colour Specialist degree, Saks courses and is Kerastase Ambassador. At home, Stacey has her hands full with her little boy, so her free time is spent in soft play, toddler groups and play dates with friends. Shw also likes to enjoy food and drinks with friends or just a simple night in with a takeout and Netflix.
ZOEY
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Zoey joined the salon in 2007 as a Saturday girl, climbing her way up to Creative Director. Her many hair achievements include being one of the company’s top stylists, being a L’Oreal Colour Specialist and winning awards across Saks and L’Oreal national competitions. Being a fur mama to two crazy but beautiful dogs is Zoey’s passion. She loves to spend time with her husband with food and drink, holidays or taking the dogs out for long walks and trips to the caravan.
BECKY
CERATIVE DIRECTOR
Becky joined our team in 2016 after gaining fantastic experience in the world of hair. And has gone on to be a L’Oreal Colour Specialist, becoming our in-salon hair extensions specialist. She just loves anything creative. In Becky’s free time she is a mammy to a very sassy and funny little girl. So play groups and soft plays is where she spends her time away from the salon. And the best part of having a little girl is the shopping trips and pamper days.
EMMA
SENIOR STYLIST
Emma demonstrates just how much of a natural in hairdressing she is each and every day. She’s a friendly girl and we love having her as part of our team. In Emma’s free time you’ll find her in a shopping centre, extending her endless collection of shoes and bags. She also loves a good cocktail on a night or afternoon out with friends.
KATIE
STYLIST
Katie completed her level 2 and 3 hair apprenticeships with Saks and is back in the salon after taking a little break to have her baby. She is a very bubbly and friendly person. Katie continues to attend numerous educational courses which she loves. In her free time she is a mammy to a very fearless little girl. They love days at the farm and play groups. Katie also loves eating out and drinks with friends.
CHLOE
APPRENTICE
Chloe is a pleasure to have in the salon. Not only is she friendly and funny, but our customers love her, she is proving to be a true natural, progressing perfectly in her training sessions. In Chloe’s own time she lives in a buzzing and busy home with being second oldest out of five siblings. So she loves to wind down in the gym or catch up with her friends for a shopping day or eating out for lunch.
OLIVIA
APPRENTICE
Our apprentice, Olivia, is a fabulous asset to our team. She loves to get hands on during her training and really enjoys being part of our Chester-le-Street hair team. She adores Saks because we’re “a great place to learn and everyone is one big family” says Olivia. Outside of work, Olivia’s talents lend themselves to kickboxing as well as being a huge self-confessed geek.
