Our top team are a friendly bunch of Bolton hairdressers and beauty therapists. As part of Saks, we’re trained by the best in the biz, and we’ve got what it takes to make every one of our customers feel special, every time they come into our salon.
CHERYL
SALON OWNER
Cheryl joined Saks in 2004 as a Stylist at the salon. With a mixture of talent, ambition and a love for the salon, she became salon owner over 10 years ago. Over the years, Cheryl has built a strong, knowledgeable hair and beauty team, and loves to remain on the salon floor, doing what she does best, as Principal Stylist. Cheryl is very talented in men’s cuts as well as women’s. Cheryl says “I love everything to do with hair -not just cutting, colouring and blow drying, but why and how it all works. The ins and outs of colours, the process of retaining a full bouncy blowdry and why certain cuts create longer and thicker looking hair. This is my passion and I love it all... running my business, greeting regular and new customers, and having a good chat. And by no means least, my amazing team who’ve been with me forever.” Cheryl loves spending time with her family and friends, especially her little boy, Louis. Walking and cooking (when she’s not doing all things hair and beauty) is at the top of her fun things to do.
CARLA
SENIOR STYLIST
Carla started working at Saks at 16, completing her hair apprenticeships, levels 2 and 3. Fast forward several years and she’s slotted into our Senior Stylist, and thoroughly enjoys every aspect of her job, offering both men and women’s cuts. She just loves to put a smile on everyone’s face, and make people feel good. Her journey with us has seen her develop into a top stylist, and became a mum to her son, Daniel. In her spare time, she loves going for walks, especially to new places (getting lost is the best bit). Carla is up for most things, providing it doesn’t involve rollercoasters, heights and water!
MELISSA
SENIOR STYLIST
Melissa has been with us for around 10 years, having trained as an apprentice at 16, then graduating to hairdresser, specializing in men and women’s cuts and continuing to learn new and exciting techniques still to this day, as a Senior Stylist. Melissa says "I love working with colour, creating big, bouncy blow-dries and transformations with hair extensions. I enjoy keeping fit and go to the gym most days, whilst on a weekend, I like to let loose and enjoy cocktails and good food with my friends. Topped off with a lazy Sunday, where you can find me looking for a Netflix series that I haven’t seen, or spending time with my family and tribe of dogs."
BAIBA
STYLIST
In 2019, Baiba began her hairdressing career, she joined our salon after earning her level three hairdressing and barber's certificates. Baiba enjoys being a member of our team and learning new skills and techniques every day. Baiba first fell in love with hairdressing, when she began cutting her own family's hair. She has also always been passionate and daring with her own hair, frequently changing the colour and style. Baiba’s specialty is, as she puts it, "short hair.” She’s also very talented in a variety of gents cuts. When Baiba is not styling hair, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and baking delicious cakes. Baiba also enjoys swimming and going to the gym because she is all about wellness!
ABBIE
JUNIOR STYLIST
Meet Abbie, your go to stylist for a relaxing shampoo experience and bouncy blow dries. Abbie loves making every client feel pampered and refreshed. Abbie’s fave part about working for Saks is the amazing clients she gets to meet and the endless opportunities to learn new techniques and styles every day, inspired by the one and only Brad Mondo. A proud milestone was passing her Level 2. When Abbie’s not at the salon, you’ll find her enjoying food with friends, spending quality time with family, or indulging in her guilty pleasure, anything Disney, especially Stitch!
EMMA
BEAUTY THERAPIST
Emma is all about helping clients unwind and feel their absolute best. Specializing in massages and facials, she loves nothing more than seeing her clients walk out of the salon looking refreshed, relaxed, and glowing. One of her favourite parts of the job is being a part of life’s biggest moments, whether it’s preparing for a wedding, a dream holiday, or pampering a mum-to-be. It’s those special milestones that make her work truly memorable. When she’s not working her magic in the salon, Emma enjoys spending time with family, binge-watching TV shows with her husband, or indulging in some well-deserved self-care with a face mask. Oh, and if you didn’t know, she’s also a big Formula 1 fan. What she loves most about being part of the Saks team is the incredible group of people she gets to work with every day.
KATHRYN
BEAUTY THERAPIST
Kathryn has been part of the beauty industry since 2007 and brings a wealth of experience across all areas of beauty. With a strong background in makeup, she has a natural eye for detail and loves creating flawless results tailored to each client. Kathryn’s true passion lies in facials and massage, where she focuses on creating a calm, safe, and deeply relaxing experience for everyone who steps into her treatment room. One of her favourite parts of the job is meeting so many incredible people, building lasting relationships with clients, and encouraging the importance of self-care in today’s busy world.
NATALIE
BEAUTY THERAPIST
Natalie is our level three beauty therapist. She’s been part of the team for around 5 years, and has made some of the best memories, with the best girls whilst she’s been with us! Natalie loves to create fabulous nails and enjoys being the life of the party, so ladies, she knows how you feel after a new set of lashes. Which was one of the reasons she came into this industry, as she wanted to use her creativity to make people feel special. Natalie likes to spend her spare time drawing, with a passion for cartoon and animation, regularly creating different characters and cartoon portraits.
