Shelbi Styles at LCT 2023
Anyone who knows Shelbi, knows she has a passion for all things creative, and it’s her dream to join the Saks A Team. And now she’s one step closer, as she joined forces with Saks’ Artists to assist creative director Luke Pluckrose at this year’s L’Oréal Colour Trophy, as he headlined the Grand Final show in July (*yet again*) with a stunning hair collection.

LONDON BOUND
All of the team at our Saks hair salon in Poulton were so excited as Shelbi set off for London to work on the show at Battersea Evolution.
With several hours’ hair prep the day prior to the show, followed by action-packed back-stage prep on the big day, our Shelbi was bursting to get involved with every aspect of the styling process, alongside Luke and Saks Artists Clare Murphy and Sarah Clarke-Lees.

Salon owner, Rachael says “When we were asked if Shelbi would like to assist the Art Team at the show, we knew her answer before she said a word. Excitement is an understatement we’d say.
Next thing, her suitcase was packed and off she popped to London. Working backstage at a show like L’Oréal Colour Trophy is a dream come true for any stylist, giving them a channel for their creativity to flow. And working on the headlining collection is the absolute icing on the cake.”

Shelbi continues “I just love what I do, and I was so excited to be asked to style backstage with Luke on his headlining show. What an honour. Thanks so much to Saks HQ and the Art Team for asking me to join them. We all worked flat out and were shattered by the time the show finished, but we were all running on adrenaline and having the best of times! The models were brilliant to work with and our looks were stunning.”
