Saks Poulton Salon Awards Success
We’re thrilled to shout loud and proud about our Saks Poulton win, as our very own Lydia Grey has won Advanced Hair Apprentice at the Saks Awards 2020. All the team at our hair and beauty salon in Poulton were thrilled to receive the news, especially Lydia.
The awards ceremony took place over a live broadcast on Facebook, so we all got together at the salon, to eagerly await the finalists’ results.
CELEBRATING IN STYLE
We celebrated in style with drinks and food from local bistro, Pucli Pizza, and set up a screen where we gathered to watch the ceremony live from Saks HQ. And as this is Rachael’s first Saks Awards celebration as the salon owner, we were all super-excited to see how our sister salons performed. Not to mentioned because Lydia was a finalist.
Our award was one the first announced and our hearts were in our throats. And then Lydia’s name was announced, and she’d WON. We were screaming with excitement! Even passers by outside were cheering too. It was the best feeling ever. So, of course, we went out for a few cocktails after the ceremony was over to continue our celebrations long into the night.
Salon owner, Rachael says “Lydia – we couldn’t be happier for you. You’ve made us so proud, as always. It was a great night.”
HOW LYDIA WON
Lydia was challenged to interpret upcoming trends and create a high fashion look at live heats held across the country. Lydia produced a mood board based on Great Britain theme. She’s got a keen eye for runway looks and began to create content with ease, using elastic material and braiding. Her model’s outfit was inspired by the tudor period, incorporating rich colours and fabrics.
With stiff competition, Lydia was really pleased with her finished look. It was really important to Lydia to do as much work on the day as possible, to demonstrate her work to the judges.
