Fundraising Salon of the Year 2019!
We’re pleased to announce the we were awarded Fundraising Salon of the Year due to our fundraising for the Eve Appeal in 2018.
The annual Saks Gathering in London is always a great event. Over 100 Saks salons met to celebrate another year of hard work. After a year fundraising for the EVE APPEAL the team from Hexham where awarded Fundraising salon of the year, as they raised the most of every other Saks salon. The majority of the money came from the Afternoon Tea Party held in September at Maften Hall. Where the girls from the salon teamed with numerous local businesses from the area to hold a tea party for 100 guests to raise £4352.80. After this they held a Christmas raffle for the chance to win a complimentary cut and colour as well as a makeover from Total Beauty. This raised approximately £1000 bringing the grand total to just over £5800. The EVE APPEAL is the UK’s only charity raising awareness and funding for gynaecological cancers. It is a charity that is very close to the hearts of the Hexham team, so they are extremely proud to have raised such a substantial amount.
On top of this, their newly qualified stylist Jessica Smith was nominated for Stylist Image Award, meaning she was placed in the top 4 stylists of Saks for this category! This is an amazing achievement for someone just starting their career in hairdressing! Along with Boss Lady Andrea Currah who was nominated for Colour Image Award!
