SAKS CHESTER STYLES AT LFW

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Our fabulous principal stylist, Danielle, was thrilled to join Neuthreads, a concept born from top north east charity, Daisy Chain at London Fashion Week in February.

A natural collaboration based on our combined passion of fashion, we LOVE the vibe of Neuthreads, creating unique and ethical fashion from textiles destined for landfill, so it was our ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to field a talented hair team for their London Fashion Week debut in Soho.

Danielle joined fellow stylists from Saks Hair salons in Hexham and Crouch End, all headed by Saks Artist and stylist to the stars, Clare Murphy for a day filled full of magic, models (26 to be precise!) and many, many memories.

Danielle says “We had the best of times! There’s always such a great atmosphere at shows like this. I just love being given the opportunity to style with the Saks Artists at events far and wide, and London Fashion Week has to be one of the best.

“Big thanks to Neuthreads for asking Saks to partner with you for such a stunning show. We’re really proud to create gorgeous looks to complement your runway collection”.

ABOUT DAISY CHAIN

Initially launched as a community initiative for autistic children and young people, the charity has evolved significantly, and now also provides support for adults. Daisy Chain day centre is based on a 5.5-acre site offering state-of-the-art facilities and therapeutic animal therapy and also provides community outreach services across the North East of England.

AND, OF COURSE, NEUTHREADS…

Neuthreads was created with funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to tackle the issue of post-consumer fashion waste.

They reuse fibres and textiles that would otherwise end up in landfill, creating unique, high-fashion items. This comes at a time when it’s estimated that 64% of the 32 billion garments produced for the fashion industry are wasted each year.

The brand’s Creative director and Daisy Chain CEO, Neeraj Sharma, has been working on their debut London Fashion Week show with their Design and Corporate Manager, Cara Baumann.

We think they did a stunning job. Hats off guys!
