What’s more, our beauty experts offer Dermalogica pro microneedling. This treatment uses the most advanced techniques and is elevated with a chemical peel to target dark spots, wrinkles and pores. Combined with Pro Restore, our recovery and firming concentrate is designed to prepare the skin’s barrier, restore it’s condition, decrease downtime, and amplify your microneedling results. Aftercare products are supplied for you to take home and get the most out of your treatment.

Let’s dive into some FAQ’s!
What will my skin feel like after my treatment?
Expect to feel some heat, tingling and sensitivity which will reduce after 1-2 hours and then gradually over the first 48 hours. Everyone’s skin reacts differently so some may experience this more than others.
We already offer skin treatments including skin peels in the salon, but this was the next step for us in advanced skin treatments. We have customers who want to treat ageing or scarring or improve skin texture and this is a great treatment for these concerns.
Does the treatment have any down time?
We would expect to see some redness to the skin for 1-2 days after the treatment. Between day 2-7 you may experience some dryness and sensitivity to the skin. After 7 days you should start to see an improvement to the texture and resurfacing of the skin and then you are likely to see the full benefit at 6 weeks onwards.
*Top Tip* Timing is key, make-up should be avoided for the first 24 hours and redness can last a few days. If you have an event coming up be sure to give us a call on 0113 242 9217 and we can advise on when is best to have the treatment.
How many treatments do I need?
It would really depend on what results you are wanting to achieve but we would normally recommend a course of 3 microneedling treatments 1 month apart. After this initial course of 3 we would recommend a treatment every 3-6 months however if you love the treatment you can continue with monthly treatments. Or you could opt for another of our skin treatments in between which can be recommended by our skin therapists.
What do I need to do afterwards?
Don’t apply make-up for up to 24 hours after the procedure. You can cleanse your face 6 hours after the procedure or before bedtime with a gentle cleanser and tepid water and use serums or recommended products as per your skin therapist’s directions. Continue to wear SFP 30+ daily.
What is the difference between Microneedling and Pro Microneedling?
Microneedling is a standalone treatment using the pro pen and a serum such as hyaluronic acid to help boost the results of the treatment.
The Pro Microneedling uses Dermalogica’s protocols and is a more advanced service combining exfoliation/skin peel (at your therapist’s advice) prior to the microneedling. The treatment uses Dermalogica’s Pro Restore to achieve the best results. Pro Restore is also given to you after the Pro Microneedling to continue use at home.
What is Pro Restore?
Pro Restore is designed to work with advanced skin services. The concentrate prepares the skin’s barrier, restores its condition, helps increase the appearance of firmness and brightness of the skin. It reduces downtime, improves recovery and amplifies results.
What results can I expect?
You should expect to see an improvement in your skin’s texture and tone. This may take some time and can take up to 3 months. Others see results quicker.
What do customers say about microneedling?
As with all our skin treatments we tailor it for each customer’s own skin, not everyone is the same so the treatment shouldn’t be either. We always do a courtesy call a few days after the customer has had the treatment and we have had the best feedback and lots of rebooking’s.
