Saks4Eve hotter than July

Reading Time: 4 minutes

We’re loving reporting Saks4Eve hotter than July fundraising by our salon teams! We’re blown away with how they’re embracing raising funds to fight gynaecological cancers, and 13 is our lucky number as we’ve hit £13,586 at the last count with lots more being banked as we speak. A quick roundup of hot #Saks4Eve stuff in July right here…

WE SMASHED THE BRITISH 10K

Ahh Saks Heston! This lovely lot turned out en masse to smash the British 10k in London and were massively cheered on by The Eve Appeal along the way. We gotta mention that they raised a whopping £1,463 in the process. Saks Heston we salute you!

WE DID SOME CRAZY COLOURING

The Colour Obstacle Rush is the colourful event that tours the world and we were oh-so ready when it hit Manchester and Newcastle.

This lot got down to a different type of colouring with a huge amount of fun in tackling lots of crazy obstacles whilst completing 5k courses… and having paint flung at them all the way!

Natasha (co-owner of Saks Poulton and Saks Lytham with twin Natalie), is super-passionate about The Eve Appeal and said ‘we’re in’ on day one. It got a bit more special in July when young son Alfie got involved too. At the tender age of 4 he did an amazing job supporting mum’s cause by completing the Manchester course!

WE SHARED HOW TO BLOW DRY LIKE A PRO

Saks Crouch End in London is one of our babies as the salon only opened in June this year. They immediately got involved with #Saks4Eve fundraising by arranging an exclusive ‘Blow Dry Like a Pro’ evening.

Sharing top tips for an expert finish and how to experiment with tongs, straighteners and wands, the evening was a huge success with Crouch Enders grabbing all the appointments in record time. And every customer received a complimentary blow dry too so left feeling super-special… ten out of ten for this new Saks London team!

A SPECIAL MENTION…

Longstanding salon owner Trisha at Saks Durham retired recently but is still joining in with all-things Saks. Determined to do her bit for #Saks4Eve, after undergoing a hip operation Trisha walked a mile around Fiskardo harbour whilst recuperating in Kefalonia, raising £100. Massive thanks for flying the #Saks4Eve flag overseas Trisha!

MORE RAFFLES AND COMPETITIONS

To name only a few Saks Scotch Corner, Saks Scarborough and Saks Chester Le Street offered up coveted hair and beauty goodies in an array of raffles and competitions and a coffee morning for customers. Raising a whopping £764.31 between them in June and July alone… we like!

OPENED ON A SUNDAY WITH APPOINTMENTS FOR DONATIONS

Saks Royston and Saks South Shields more than did their bit by both opening their salon doors on a Sunday, taking appointments for donations, with teams giving their time for free.
