Va-va-voom hair and beauty is all at Saks at this time of year, even if #outout can’t be a thing. Our guide to your party-season-at-home is here – Strictly and Zoom parties are on so dig out your sequins and make the strange season of 2020 one to remember.

Saks Artist Clare Murphy says: “A fabulous way to welcome the weekend is to book in for a luxurious blow-dry and some inventive styling. The magic in the mix? Choosing the right products to wash and nourish your hair – nothing too heavy – and using good old-fashioned drying tactics and products to add plenty of volume, bounce and curls.”

Chat to your stylist as we love sharing our drying and styling tricks of the trade. We may be closed during November but December’s busy already – contact your salon and book early for your post-lockdown look.

As the season’s go, now’s the time where we see a bigger demand for smoothing treatments as damp weather plays havoc with frizz. We’ve got lots of options that’ll see you through to the new year.

Colour experts in every salon. We asked super-creative Hanna at Saks Aberdeen (Saks A-Team 2019 member) to talk colour. Hanna says: “At Saks we have loads of options for adding lustrous gloss. Personally, I love L’Oréal Dialight Clear Gloss. It’s ammonia-free colour to mix with other permanent colours for vinyl shine and condition. Adding it to the tips of hair avoids heavy colour build.” Good call, cheers Han!

The yes-Yes-YES beauty ritual at this time of year being, of course…

Saks Beauts know that nails can make all the difference to your day. Katie Gledhill of Saks Beauty Halifax says: “From a classic French polish for naturalistas to vampy seasonal colours and all the foils. Be it short and rounded or super-long talons, we love adding the glitz. Jessica’s Gorgeous berries and burnt oranges are a big hit.”

Katie continues: “And as chatted on last time, we’re thoroughly enjoying the rise of brows and lashes in mask-wearing times. LVL Lashes are a low maintenance natural lash enhancement to make those eyes pop, with results lasting 6-8 weeks.”

Choose hone and tone options from our advanced menu as we’re conscious that sometimes helping hands are needed if you’re working out like a boss but stubborn fat won’t budge – your body, your choice. Katie says: “We’re experts with state-of-the-art, non-invasive treatments from Venus Concept and 3D Lipo if you want help to lose inches and smooth skin. And we have an array of treatments to detoxify and stimulate. The Elemis deep tissue massage is brilliant for improving circulation and lymphatic drainage of toxins and with Decleor’s aromatherapy massage you can pick your blend of oils depending on the results you want. Everything smells divine too!”

Skin guru, Hollie Simpson of Saks Beauty Teesside, says: “Zinc is a powerhouse for the immune system, with antiviral properties to fight infection and regulate the production of oil, helping to reduce acne. Salmon, prawns, beef, yellow cheese, spinach, mushrooms, cocoa, pumpkin seeds, garlic, bean and almonds are all good sources.”

You’ll find a whole load of hygiene protocols in place for the foreseeable in our salon. Safety screens , visors, masks, hygiene stations, deep cleaning, social distancing and disposable towels, gowns and cups. Everything needed so you can enjoy coming in. For our promises to you and what we ask in return, it’s a two minute read.

Two super-easy ways to treat those you love, or yourself of course! Our salons have an array of coffrets and gifts sets and treats from the very best names in hair and beauty. And for those in the know, a Saks voucher to spend on hair or beauty with your faves is The One! Pop to your Saks salon to browse or buy Saks Vouchers online.
