The hair and beauty team at Saks West Bridgford are absolutely buzzing to share their latest adventures with you all! Chay and Sophie, salon directors, had the exclusive opportunity to attend the professional launch of the highly anticipated Beauty Works X Maya Jama collection in London. And let us tell you, it was nothing short of spectacular.
MASTERCLASS MAGIC WITH SAMANTHA CUSICK
We kicked off the day with a masterclass and Q&A session led by the incredibly talented Beauty Works ambassador, Samantha Cusick. If you’ve ever wanted to unlock the secrets to creating those effortlessly chic waves or perfecting that Insta-worthy blow dry, Samantha’s your go-to gal. Her tips were pure gold, and we can’t wait to bring these fresh techniques back to the salon and share them with all of you.
HAIRSPIRATION FROM JAY BIRMINGHAM
As if one masterclass wasn’t enough, we were treated to another session with the fabulous Jay Birmingham (Maya Jama’s personal stylist and Beauty Works ambassador). Jay’s approach to hairstyling is all about making a statement, and he didn’t disappoint. From sleek updos to voluminous curls, we soaked up every bit of his styling wisdom.

GETTING UP CLOSE WITH THE NEW XXS WEFT
One of the standout moments of the day was the XXS Weft Comparison Clinic. This clinic gave us a hands-on opportunity to explore the new XXS Weft in all its glory. With its ultra-thin design and seamless blend, it’s a game-changer for anyone looking to add volume and length without the bulk. We compared it with other wefts and were seriously impressed by how natural it looked and felt.
TEAM BUILDING FUN AT ALTON TOWERS
After a day of glitz and glamour, what better way to unwind than with a thrilling day out at Alton Towers? Our hair and beauty team swapped their salon gear for some fun and adventure, taking on the wildest rides and soaking up the sun. It was the perfect way to bond and recharge before getting back to doing what we love — making you look and feel fabulous.

As summer comes to a close, we’ve had the pleasure of helping our customers look their best for a season full of weddings and special events. Our talented stylist, Sophie, has truly outdone herself with some stunning updos that have been the highlight of many bridal looks this month. Go Sophie!
