The Songbook of Judy Garland tour
2015 is all about being ICONIC at Saks as our gorgeous hair collection paying homage to women we love for their inner elegance and timeless style. So, it was perfect when our Saks Art Team got the call from director and longtime friend of Saks Christopher Manoe to sponsor hair design for The Songbook of Judy Garland, the show all about one of the most ICONIC women of all time.
The show stars Lorna Luft, Judy Garland’s daughter, together with leading West End musical theatre stars including Louise Dearman (Wicked, Evita), Rachel Stanley (White Christmas, Annie), Darren Bennett (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and Ray Quinn (X Factor, Dancing On Ice) with choreography by the one and only Arlene Philips.

Saks Art Team hair activities include creating looks for promotional photo shoots, gala evening and filming of the show.
Our Saks Hair York salon manager Holly Ward jumped at the chance of working Hollywood glamour and arranged for all the cast members to pop in to our salon at 9A Davygate for trims and colour refreshes whist the show was in town.
We’re raising funds for gynae cancers and Rachel Stanley took time to support #Saks4Eve!
The cast loved their new hair looks by Saks so much that Holly and our team were also invited backstage at the Grand Opera House York performances to recreate our Art Team’s hair looks.

The tour that kicked off at Edinburgh Playhouse on 8th May is set to be a success with aficianados reveling in top-notch Judy nostalgia.
