25 Years of Saks Hair Hexham
It’s a big year for Saks Hair Hexham, with 25 years in business and still going strong.
Over that time, the salon has picked up awards, built a loyal client base, and become a real part of the Hexham community. It’s not just about great hair (though they’ve got that covered) — it’s the people, the atmosphere, and the relationships that make it special.
This milestone also marks a huge moment for Andrea, who is retiring after an incredible 43 years in hairdressing. She’s been the driving force behind the salon for decades — building the team, mentoring stylists, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome.
And the good news? The salon stays firmly in the family. Andrea is handing the business over to her daughter Shannon, who’s ready to take things forward and continue everything that’s made the salon what it is today.
A special mention goes to two key team members who’ve helped shape the salon over the years – Emma, celebrating 20 years at the salon, and Jess, marking 10 years. Both are L’Oréal colour specialists, known for their expertise and dedication to clients.
Alongside the styling and awards, the team has also made a real impact beyond the salon, raising thousands for The Eve Appeal and supporting important work in gynaecological cancer research.
So while it’s the end of one chapter, it’s also the start of another. Here’s to 25 years of Saks Hair Hexham and to Andrea’s amazing career, with Shannon leading the next generation.
