Saks Artists gigs pre-lockdown

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Reminiscing to loadsa times just before social distancing when our Saks Artists were here there and everywhere adding the wow-factor. A big shout going out for Luke, our Saks Artists and also to our super-stylists for doing the do. A record of who did what pre-lockdown is here.

First up. It has to be said…

HELLO KIM. HELLO KENDALL.

If you know our creative director Luke  you’ll know he’s a sought-after session stylist on the London scene. The evidence is here. Point IS Kim loved his stuff on Instagram, got in touch and the rest is history. Along with Nikki Makeup Luke styled KKW for dinner in LDN with Kanye and Burberry boss Riccardo Tisci – creating a case for crimping indeed.

And when Kendall hit town to walk for Burberry at London Fashion Week it was Luke who provided the effortless slick-back for the after-show parties.

LONDON FASHION WEEK

In February Luke also fielded a big Saks team for L’Oreal Professionnel for our friends at the Hong Kong Fashion Council in the beautiful setting of Somerset House.

Angus Tsui’s show portrayed fashion and futurisim in the year 2120 as planet Earth faces massive destruction. Luke says “It was exciting to interprete this show and create hair shapes to match Angus’ strong silhouettes.”

Jess *purple waves in the lineup* says :”Absolutely love working as a Saks Artist with Luke and the gang – more gigs please! At fashion week I was – as always – in awe of Luke’s work. I started out on the Saks A-Team creative programme in 2015 and have been backstage with the team ever since. The looks for the shows were like nothing I’ve seen before. Great to see products being used in different ways to create shapes without being supported somehow – just amazing!”

Saks Artists:
Luke Pluckrose and Clare Murphy

Assisted by L-R:
Ann-Elise and Jess, Saks Barnard Castle
Charlotte, Saks Yarm
Stacey, Saks Doncaster
Abbie, London College of Fashion
Lucy, Saks Lincoln
Charlotte, Saks Crouch End

PRO HAIR LIVE

Saks Artists Clare and Sarah Clarke-Lees took to the stage at Pro Hair Live, assisted by Estelle Smith from Saks Knutsford.

Clare says: “It was great to work in partnership with L’Oréal Professionnel – as always – sharing our experience of using the new tools and products – this time Steam Pod 2.0 and the new Majirel Glow colour palette. Our angle was how to get the best results from toning, colour placement and working with wigs, using them to get creative and try new ideas”.

A NOTE FOR AGENTS AND CONCIERGES
