Over £70,000 raised for Eve

Reading Time: 3 minutes

WE’RE OVER THE MOON ABOUT THIS. Thanks to the fundraising activities of Saks salons across the UK and our fabulous customers, we’ve now raised £73,853.49 for essential research into women’s cancers with The Eve Appeal!

WE. ARE. SO. PROUD. OF. OUR. PEOPLE!

SAKS4EVE SEPTEMBER

Our second Saks4Eve September (to coincide with Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month), saw Saks salons opening on Sundays, offering hair and beauty appointments for donations… with our teams giving their time for free for the second year running.

Superbusy #Saks4Eve Sunday… Saks Yarm doesn’t do things by halves!

That’s hair, beauty, raffles, cakes, makeovers, fizz and so much MORE.

BEAUTY LAUNCHING AT SAKS SEDBURY HALL

Salon owner Anna Clinton chose her #Saks4Eve event to also launch Saks Beauty at our longstanding hair salon in the gorgeous setting of Sedbury Hall, Scotch Corner. Customers were treated to glitzy nails and luxurious facials from the gorgeous new menu. That’s Saks Sedbury Hall now busy with beauty!

GREAT NORTH RUNNERS

Zoe Chamberlain of Saks Lincoln (who also did the GNR last year for Saks4Eve), made it round this super-tricky half marathon for a second time for our great cause. Even better, a couple of weeks later our girl then took on the Lincoln Half Marathon supported by Saks Lincoln bessie Sophie Vaughan… raising over £500 in the process.

Saks Sedbury Hall’s hectic fundraising month didn’t stop at the launch of Saks Beauty. Stylist Laura Porter also completed the course, and the salon raised an amazing £1,760 from both events!

MUDDY MAYHEM FOR SAKS HQ

One word: hilarious. Some of our Saks HQ crazies chose a 5k with a difference! Described as ‘no walk in the park’, Muddy Mayhem at Hardwick Park has over 40 obstacles (think cargo nets, climbing walls, tunnels, freezing open water) and lots of other muddy surprises along the way. Lots of bruises, lots of hot baths and lots of pennies banked!

We’re feeling the love for the fancy pants and this lovely lot…Leanne Kodic and Jane Turner of Customer Services, Louise Barron and Kate Turner of Saks Training UK and Rebecca Dobbs of Saksessories.
