Styling-it in September
Keeping up with the superstars in our Saks Art Team has been hard to do in September. Special styling requests have been pinging into the inbox and Perry has had to weave his magic on the diary to fit everything in. One thing’s for sure… Luke Pluckrose and Tom Berry, assisted by our highly creative Saks stylists and this year’s A-TEAM members, added the wow-factor Styling it in September, wherever they went!
REVEAL ONLINE FASHION AWARDS
On 8th September Luke headed up our backstage hair team for Reveal over at London’s hot-spot destination DSTRKT nightclub, creating an array of glam looks at this glitzy night of fashion and awards.
Hair: ALL about glamour and the team created 70s retro-to-go waves and super-sleek looks.
Aww, Saks West Bridgford salon owner Michelle Shergill was so proud of Hannah that she decided to hit London provide moral support for her girl!
PLUS SIZE FASHION WEEK FOR EVANS
Lead sponsor Evans got in touch asking us to work it at this year’s UK Plus Size Fashion Week… the curvy fashion event of the year – a 3 day event celebrating the stylish side of being plus size.
Team: Luke and Tom with Claire Murphy and Perry Church of Saks Training London and Dean Jackson of Saks Durham.
Hair looks: 1920 inspired, smoothed at the root with huge textured curls from mid to ends lengths… adding vintage pizzazz to the gorgeous models’ looks.
LONDON FASHION WEEK WITH L’OREAL PROFESSIONNEL
Next stop, downtown Soho for a very long and hugely successful day with Luke heading up the Kingston MA show for L’Oreal Professionnel to kick-start London Fashion Week.
Team: Luke and Tom with Amy Horne of Saks Cheshire Oaks, Dean Jackson of Saks Durham, Emily Tighe and James Maher of Saks Kenilworth, Claire Parke and Chris Law of Saks Saffron Walden, Nikki Bakisgan of Saks Scarborough.
Hair looks: Luke says: “we created a really textured 90s grunge feel, with heavy fringes falling over the eyes and low ponies and intricate knotting – a very laid back nonchalant look this time.”
FLYING THE FLAG FOR SAKS OVERSEAS
The Boys love flying the flag for Saks overseas and they’re regularly called to teach our philosophies around the world. And who would say no when Italy calls?
The latest trip, this time to Charme & Beauty in Naples, was an amazing success. 250 Italian stylists were shown how to do it better as Luke and Tom showcased the gorgeous looks in our ICONIC hair collection and several sought-after bridal styles of today.

STYLING NEW LOOK CATWALK
Next up they packed their Saksessories kit bags and headed over to the MK Arena to style the catwalk for New Look’s big glitzy annual bash.
Looks: A combination of futuristing plaits combined with wet-look texture and mussed up wisps.

Meanwhile, Katy Adamson kept the home fires burning, with some super-special hair training for Saks stylists at the Saks Training Academy in Darlington.

Katy’s life is ALWAYS crazy-busy. As well as being a Saks Art Team member she’s also owner of our Saks Hair Northallerton salon. But Katy relishes the opportunity to help stylists hone their skills teaching signature Saks styles and special cutting techniques. Saks stylists from across the UK just love spending time with Katy.
