Hair and beauty starts with a great team
Here at Saks Hair & Beauty West Bridgford, we know great hair and beauty starts with a great team.
Recently, we stepped away from the salon floor and into something completely different… taking on the immersive Curio Escape Room challenge together.
With the clock ticking, puzzles to solve, and plenty of pressure moments along the way, it quickly became less about escaping the room and more about how we worked together as a team. Communication, trust, problem-solving, and keeping calm under pressure all came into play. And yes… we escaped in 55 minutes.
But the biggest takeaway wasn’t the finishing time.
It was the reminder that the energy behind the scenes in a salon really matters.
The way a team works together has a huge impact on the atmosphere clients feel the moment they walk through the door. From the welcome at reception to consultations, colour appointments, treatments and everything in between, it’s the little things that shape the experience.
That’s why investing in our team is so important to us. Of course, education and technical training are a huge part of salon life at Saks, but so is building strong relationships, supporting one another and creating an environment where everyone feels motivated and inspired.
Days like this give us a chance to step away from the day-to-day routine, reset together and strengthen the connection we already have as a team. And honestly, it reminded us just how lucky we are to work with people who genuinely support each other and want to see one another do well.
We’re proud of the atmosphere we’ve created in the salon. We want it to feel welcoming, positive and relaxed, while still delivering the high standards, creativity and expertise our clients expect from Saks. Because when our team feels confident, connected and happy in what they do, customers feel it too. Whether you visit us for a fresh colour, hair transformation, beauty treatment or simply an hour to switch off from the outside world, we want you to leave feeling your best.
And while the Escape Room challenge may have lasted less than an hour… the teamwork, laughs and memories from the day will definitely stay with us a lot longer.
