Art Team at London Fashion Week
It’s been a busy old time for our superstar Saks Art Team with a whirlwind of styling events and shows recently… assisted by our amazing stylists of course! Here’s a round-up of crazy-busy February into March…
LONDON FASHION WEEK
CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS MA FASHION
We always LOVE the Central Saint Martins show and this year fifteen students showcased their collections at Somerset House. An array of pink knit, tinsel, ponchos and Pop Art prints.Plus huge sculptured chains, flares, veils and tufty knits.
Luke Pluckrose, Saks Art Team, says: “Here we went for a wet-grunge look using PLI to create texture for 4 to 6 random plaits and they we ran straighteners over plaits and brushed out for a gorgeous loose wave. Then we applied L’Oreal Professionnel Wild Stylers Crêpage de Chignon through the hair for a dirty effect, finishing with lots of Mythic Oil to add a damp look.
ONG-OAJ PAIRAM
In a perfect location at the Grand Connaught Rooms Ong-Oaj Pairam showcased beautiful silk gowns, glorious floral prints and woollen coats. Hair was a big homage to loose 70s curls with central partings and super-smooth roots. Hair was prepared with our fave PLI, curled then roots were flattened and pinned with loosened curls were finished with Infinium spray.
ASHISH
Wow! One word describes the Ashish for Topshop show… sassy! Think red glossy knee-high lace-ups, sequin-embroidered, and fur, sequinned camo bombers and tie-dye denim. Hair was natural with texture, plush slicked sides and super-heavy blunt fringes clipped in to give the looks a punk vibe.
For L’Oreal:
Luke Pluckrose and Tom Berry – Saks Art Team
Sarah Clarke-Lees – Saks Poulton
Shaun Stringfellow – Saks Middlesbrough
And there was no rest for Luke Pluckrose as he then headed up the team with fellow Art Team member Tom Berry at the BRIT Awards before jetting off to Paris…
BERNARD CHANDRAN
Next Luke rocked up at Espace Pierre Cardin for Bernard Chandran creating an array of loose, intricate plaiting to perfectly complement the sophisticated looks in this Bernard’s gorgeous autumn/winter 2015 collection.
