2024 HAIR SALON OF THE YEAR
Oh how we love a good celebration at our Saks hair & beauty salon at Sedbury Hall. And what better reason to pop a bottle of fizz, than to celebrate our most recent award win. This time scooping 2024 North Yorkshire Hair Salon of the Year at The English Hair and Beauty Awards.
Oh, and let’s not forget that we also came second (being highly commended), for 2024 Local Salon if the Year too. We did good team Saks Sedbury. As. Always…

The English Hair and Beauty Awards are something a salon is nominated for by their customers, so we want to say a massive thank you everyone who voted for us. We’re overwhelmed with gratitude. You’re all the best! And to our friends and family of course for all your support.
We caught up with our salon owner, Anna, for all the goss:
We’re over the moon to win this fantastic award – how do you feel?
It was our first ever time at the English Hair and Beauty Awards, so I was obviously ecstatic that we got recognition in two categories.
Do tell all about the awards night?
The evening was at Leeds Football Club and was a black-tie event. It was really great to be amongst fellow hair and beauty salon professionals. Everyone was so friendly cheering each other on. Of course, not a patch on the annual Saks Awards though!
Planning on entering any more awards this year Anna?
I’m hoping our salon is nominated at this year’s Saks Awards, particularly for the big one – 2024 Salon of the Year. So I’m keeping everything crossed for that, and also routing for our fabulous Izzy as she’s hoping for a nomination for 2024 Apprentice of the Year. She really is a super star!
Next year we’ll also be entering the British Hairdressing Business Awards, as we were a little late to the game this year. But we’ll be ready and raring to go for 2025’s categories.
And last, but not least – how’s salon life? What have you been getting up to recently?
Salon life is always fun, working with the best team – some who’ve been with the salon for well over a decade. We had a team trip to Ibiza late last year and the team are still buzzing from that! We’re all looking forward to the 2024 Saks Awards party in Newcastle in June, and I’m keeping everything crossed for some wins.

This year, the awards were held on Sunday 14th April and celebrate rising and well-established stars that make a difference in the hair and beauty industry.
