Our Saks hairdressers in Yarm go bigger and better than ever… Over nearly three decades salon owner Jane Myers-Lewis has tended the tresses of the women of Yarm. We’ve built an amazing reputation for excellence and customer service with over 100 years’ experience between our team.
All stylists receive at least three years hairdressing training before qualifying, to ensure they’re at their very best for our customers. And we’re regularly trained by our Saks Artists in the latest trends and techniques. And did you know all our team are short hair specialists? It’s in our nature, our blood and it’s one of many things we excel in.

JANE MYERS-LEWIS
SALON OWNER
Having joined Saks at the age of 16, Jane honed her hairdressing skills in Saks salons around the North East, before opening the doors to her own salon in Saks Yarm back in 1995. A passionate and talented team leader and hairdresser, Jane just loves her salon, customers and team, saying "We're all about making women look and feel special and we achieve this every day, it's what the Saks brand is all about. Our Saks family at Yarm is truly unique. We all take care of each other and welcome our customers as part of our family, which is why they stay with us for a lifetime". DANI FLAVELL
PRINCIPAL STYLIST
Currently on maternity leave, Dani is an exceptional principal stylist at Saks Yarm, with nearly 20 years’ experience. A dedicated and integral member of our team, she’s a true expert in all aspects of hairdressing, boasting an incredible customer feedback record. Dani’s also won a special recognition award thanks to her prestigious long-standing service to the Saks brand. One of Dani’s many specialities is perfecting short haircuts and personalising hair styles to each individual customer, creating the image they desire each and every time. Perfection is the name of her game.
AMY PENGILLEY
PRINCIPAL STYLIST
Amy has been a member of Saks Yarm for many years and has successfully worked her way up to be a leading principal stylist within the salon. Customer service and satisfaction play a big part in Amy’s role within the salon, which led to her receiving a special recognition award. Being one of our more experienced stylists, Amy uses her expert knowledge to provide the best hair advice, tailored to each individual customer. Also priding herself on creating new looks, using her vast experience in cutting. After having daughter Ava, Amy continues to be passionate about all aspects of hairdressing and making each customer feel special. Book with Amy on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and alternate Saturdays.
HANNAH FORBES
PRINCIPAL STYLIST
Currently on maternity leave, long-standing member of our team, Hannah qualified as a colour specialist completing her degree with L’Oréal in 2013, vastly expanding her knowledge and experience within this field. Hannah thrives on new challenges and her involvement working with Saks Artists has helped her gain experience with session styling, and in developing her creative skills. Hannah is extremely passionate about the customer experience being the best it can be. She’s always keen to ensure her customers feel they’ve had a truly enjoyable experience, feeling fabulous after their visit to the salon. Book with Hannah Tuesday – Friday and alternate Saturdays.
SEAN TURNBULL
PRINCIPAL STYLIST
Sean has a massive kind heart, and a massive customer following to match. With an abundance of expert experience, having completed his L’Oreal Colour Specialist degree, Sean loves nothing more than creating a colour tailored to each customer. In addition, Sean is an absolute pro in all aspects of barbering, with his use of the latest up to date techniques. His skills are second to none, and he’s your go-to guy for men’s cuts. A legend in the salon, Sean delivers amazing service and customers simply love him.
DEBBIE SPEIGHT
PRINCIPAL STYLIST
Debbie has worked for Saks for nearly 30 years, having started as a stylist in Stockton and is still as enthusiastic and passionate about hairdressing as ever! Over the years Debbie has amassed a loyal clientele and has been nominated as a finalist at the L'Oreal Colour Trophy Awards. She gets booked up weeks in advance with her big customer following. BETH FRASER
PRINCIPAL STYLIST
Beth started her career at Saks Yarm as a Saturday girl and is now an exceptional principal stylist, specialising in balayage and hair extensions. Honing her love for extensions, Beth has completed a course qualifying her in weaves and hair tapes. Beth has been a proud member of the Saks A-Team, where she worked alongside Luke Pluckrose – Saks’ Creative Director, helping backstage at various events. Beth strives to make each individual customer feel glamourous and is the stylist of choice for many.
AMY ATTERTON
PRINCIPAL STYLIST
A fantastic experienced principal stylist always making customers feel welcome and part of the family. Amy has an exceptional flare for colour and restyling and knows exactly how to treat her customers hair. Having attended all L’Oreal and Saks Artist courses, Amy isn’t shy of colour change or a total restyle using her exceptional cutting and colour knowledge skills. Whether the hair be problematic or not, to improve nourishment and health she knows which treatment to use. In addition Amy is skilled in all aspects of barbering. She’s your go-to stylist for long-lasting, healthy hair or a complete new look.
CHARLOTTE LEWINGTON
PRINCIPAL STYLIST
Charlotte joined the team at Saks Yarm as a trainee in 2013 and has worked her way up through various qualifications, and is now a talented principal stylist, recently achieving the finals at the L'Oreal Colour Trophy Awards. Charlotte is incredibly good at personalising short haircuts and is extremely passionate about on trend, creative hair, and enjoys nothing more than creating the perfect boho pin-up. In addition, Charlotte has found her niche with barbering, having completed additional courses where she has excelled in various barbering techniques.
RACHEL ELLIS
SENIOR STYLIST
Rachel has been part of the Saks Yarm family for three years. She loves nothing more than dressing long hair for a special night out and perfects a bouncy blow dry every time. Rachel’s your go-to stylist for a glamorous look or perfect pin-up. She knows how to make your colour pop by selecting the perfect toner or adding a lowlight to keep your colour exciting. Whether you’re going lighter or darker, Rachel’s colour knowledge is excellent. She has a passion for learning new techniques by keeping up to date with the latest courses and trends.
