Our Saks4Eve fundraising snapshot

Reading Time: 3 minutes

At Saks Beauty Northallerton we’ve been passionate about raising funds and awareness for The Eve Appeal since day one. As part of Saks UK we’ve all now raised over £160,000 for Eve’s essential research into gynae cancers. So we thought we’d take a quick look back at the fun-draising in our salon.

ALONG THE WAY..

We’ve raffled *unbelieveable* beauty prizes, pampered for donations and taken on the biggest zipwire in Europe for our cause, donated ticket sales from all of our salon events, baked and fakes countless cakes and held a fancy pants parade at South Parade along with our sister-salon Saks Hair at the same location.

APPOINTMENTS FOR DONATIONS

On a Saks4Eve Sunday we joined Saks salons from around the UK, opening our doors on a Sunday and giving our time for free. We massaged and painted nails for donations and put lots more pennies in the pot as a result!

SAKS4EVE SUMMED UP BY OUR CUSTOMER, SUE

“Loved supporting the Eve Appeal at Saks Northallerton last week. Cancer has touched my family so it’s great to help such a worthy cause. I love going to the salon as the staff are very welcoming and down to earth. They have given me confidence to try new treatments and offer me lots of support, words of encouragement, help, advice and tips, as well as the lovely chatter.”

WHEN KIRSTY TOOK ON THE LONGEST ZIP WIRE IN EUROPE

Our daredevil beauty salon owner Kirsty took part in a big Saks UK challenge and raised £265 for women’s cancers! Along with 39 other Saks people she hurtled head-first over the Penryn Quarry in Wales, reaching speeds of 100mph+. Know Kirsty, know that this is right up her street.

ALL TICKET PROCEEDS TO EVE

Yup that’s right. Every time we hold an evening with Saks Beauty Northallerton we donate all ticket proceeds to Eve. Fact or Fiction? FACT OF COURSE!

DOING IT FOR THE BOYS

We were delighted to see that our fancy pants were put to good use following our Saks4Eve Sunday charity frolics. Our sporting heroes from Saks Leeds and Saks York stopped by mid-marathon runs. The least we could do was work our magic on those tired and sore muscles with our famous sports massages!

IMPORTANT!

Do you actually know the signs and symptoms of the five gynaecological cancers? Well, you do now! Pass this – what could be life-saving information – to mums, daughters, sisters, nans, colleagues and friends.
