One helluva year for our girlAwards .
This is Natalie. Natalie Tasker of Saks Lytham and this gal’s got some serious talent. We’ve had a delve into her life over the past few months so we can share some serious #SaksGoals with you. Hold tight, it’s a rollercoaster!
Natalie joined Saks Lytham less than a year ago as a senior stylist and according to salon owners Natasha and Natalie (another one!) was “hungry for any opportunity that came her way. She involved herself with everything that was offered; training, competitions, photoshoots and even put in extra hours at the salon to fit customers in if needed.” Golden heart to match the golden hands.
Natalie very quickly gained herself a sought-after place on Saks A-Team – our year-long creative training programme headed up by Saks UK Creative Director Luke Pluckrose. Then came L’Oréal Colour Trophy. In layman’s terms, The L’Oréal Colour Trophy (LCT) is the British hairdressing equivalent of The Oscars, so yeah, a big deal. Natalie aced the semi finals in May, competing against 5,000 stylists across the length and breadth of the UK and sailed through to the Grand Finals on June 4th . She didn’t win but it’s the taking part that counts for this one. Experience tucked firmly under her belt and competing at an insane level alongside some of the most talented stylists and colourists in the world is a gold medal in any stylist’s book.
Natalie’s last few months don’t end with the LCT either. This. Girl. Is. On. Fire. She’s just been announced as a L’Oréal Professional ID Artist – two years creative training led by the hairdressing industry’s biggest names. The two-year mentoring programme covers colour, cutting and styling and has become one of the most elite educational opportunities for young hairdressers, inspiring those with an eye for fashion and unique creative expression.
