Saks Darlington Moves to a Swish New Location

Saks Darlington has moved to a new location in the heart of the town. Franchisee, Ruth Roddam, has been an integral part of the Saks network for 18 years and a franchisee of three salons, so she’s a true champion of the Saks brand.
“I wanted to create a bright and happy salon designed to offer customers a true VIP experience. We’ve got a great team that understand the importance of delivering outstanding customer care, and they have the expertise to create on-trend and flattering hair. We’re looking forward to a busy 2012!” Ruth Roddam, Franchisee of Saks Darlington.
Why not pop into the new ever-so-stylish salon at 37, Blackwellgate and check it out for yourself. To book an appointment, call their new number, 01325 488800.

Extra-specially Saks
This year has seen a whole new direction for the Saks brand. We're more female-focused, more creative, more inspiring and all together more glamorous. Why? Because we invested in a whole heap of research - and this is what our customers AND the very special people who work in our salons told us they wanted!
We got the ball rolling with our super-sexy I AM WOMAN campaign, which featured in the pages of Glamour and Marie Claire. We've spread the message to our franchisees, with a big launch event and thanks to them, we're now busy embedding our brand values at the heart of our business. . .out in the salon network. It's there that the sense of a closely knit Saks community really springs to life. And it's also there, in our salons, day in, day out that our people deliver the kind of service that makes our customers feel special.
Click on the I LOVE SAKS button above and tell us how and why you think SAKS is special. We'd LOVE to hear from you.
Tom Makes People Happy Every Day!
Congrats to Tom Craddock, Assistant Manager at Saks Hertford, who has been awarded "Cheerful Trader of 2011". Tom was the runaway winner, nominated by a whopping 200 local residents.
30-year-old Tom has been with Saks for 13 years and puts winning down to his Saks colleagues making him enjoy his work. “I feel humble that so many people voted for me,” he said. “It makes me feel very special. I am pleased that I can make people feel happy, I’d like to thank the Saks team for their support. Without them I couldn’t be cheerful!"
Shown here, Tom with the Mayor of Hertford, receiving his award. He hasn't stopped smiling since - a great achievement, nice one Tom!
Saks Royston Raises Stacks of Cash for Local Nursing Home
Saks Royston raised £500 for St George’s Nursing Home in the town by holding a special charity day.
The salon did a special Sunday opening, offering Cut & Finishes at a fraction of the normal price, with all takings going to the charity.
They also raised funds through a raffle with prizes including Cut & Finishes at the salon, two meals for two at local pubs, lunch for two with wine at Dish, a beautiful glass perfume bottle from Wonderful Things, a travel size hair care kit, gifts from Mia Caro, a coffee and cake voucher from Mello, beauty products and wine.
The Saks team has forged close bonds with residents at the Nursing Home and now plan to organise a dinner and entertainment evening for them. They also want to organise a Christmas event at the Home.
