Saks Announces Expansion Plans
Saks is looking to expand throughout the UK to strengthen its lead as the UK’s biggest hair and beauty franchise group.
When all around is doom and gloom, getting a new haircut, root touch-up or anti-ageing facial is a pick-me-up that most women will continue to treat themselves to during hard times.
Hairdressing and beauty treatments are a necessity and salons with a strong proposition and business formula are best prepared to fight the credit crunch - none better than the company with award-winning customer service and education at its heart, which recently won four more accolades, this time for Marketing and Training at The Sapphires Franchising Awards.
In this time of economic uncertainty, franchise businesses across the country, not least Saks, are reporting continued growth and success – reinforcing the argument that franchising is one of the most successful and resilient business models in the UK.
Not only is Saks looking for ambitious franchisees to take up hair or beauty franchises in existing salons that currently offer only one half of the group’s award-winning services, but it is also searching for the right people to open brand new salons in several major UK regions.
With 140 franchises across the UK the hair and beauty franchise market leader currently has immediate opportunities in:
Berwick, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Durham, Eastbourne, Glasgow, Harrogate, Hartlepool, Leeds, Newcastle, Redcar, Scarborough, Scunthorpe, Wetherby and Whitley Bay.
Saks is also looking to open more, brand new salons in Cumbria, East Anglia, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Humberside, London and Greater London, Merseyside, Middlesex, Midlands, North East, North West, Oxfordshire, Scotland, South and South West, South East, South Wales, Surrey, Sussex, Tyne & Wear, Yorkshire.
In addition to a strong high street presence Saks operates in David Lloyd Clubs and for British Airways as their nominated hair and beauty supplier.
The Saks franchisee is an individual or partnership, looking for an exciting business opportunity and seeking to benefit from the resources of a large, international, award-winning brand.
You may be an experienced hairdresser, beauty therapist or salon manager or a business person from outside the industry, with a genuine interest in hairdressing, health and beauty, together with a hairdressing or beauty business partner or finally, an investor seeking a hairdressing or beauty business partner. Those with an existing salon will also be considered.
Saks has 35 years business experience is officially recognised as the UK’s best training provider. The company offers a full support package to all its franchisees and their teams, including award-winning education and marketing, accounts, management and operational assistance. Saks has an approved business model and has established excellent relationships with major high street banks, ready to invest in Saks franchises.
Richard Bland, Saks General Manager, says: “Saks already has 140 franchises but we don’t want to stop there and at a time when a lot of businesses are halting expansion, we know there are still hundreds of thousands of women, and men, who still want to look good and feel good – now more so than ever! We also know that in these tough times consumers choose well established brands.”
“At a time when many businesses, be they start-ups or huge multinational organisations, are dropping like flies, a new business needs as much support and security as possible. Franchising is definitely the way to go, and Saks has awards to prove that we’re the best.”
