Let's face the music and dance!

Our fabulous connections with Strictly Come Dancing continue.   Super stylists Paul James & Ashley Moes from Saks Trafford Park, Manchester, styled the locks of Strictly’s very own Lisa Armstrong and Sarah Dunn from the Manchester Evening News for a photo shoot at the Lowry Hotel recently. 

As Head Makeup & Hair Designer for the smash hit show, and founder of the Strictly Makeup Collection, Lisa is an expert in hair and makeup and our two very talented Saks stylists blew her away with their take on timeless chic party hair - job well done!

Dazzling Hair Trends for Winter

Winter hair at Saks is natural, fresh and the kind of hair everyone wants to wear right here right now.  Texture is back especially in longer layers and so are fringes, in fact the bigger the better, full of movement and making a real statement, think Charlize Theron who wears a fringe well.  Longer hair has a strength of shape at the front to promote a healthy flowing sloaney pony feel.

Colours are brighter around the face diffusing outwards towards the back of the head or the alternative is frosted shimmery tones added to any hair colour that create the perfect antidote to grey skies.

Saks Launches in Mumbai

We’ve launched our first flagship salon in India in the cosmopolitan city of Mumbai with rapid expansion plans already underway. 

The flagship salon is located in the Bandra West area of Mumbai, with top retail outlets, jewellers and restaurants nearby. Boasting a team of around 40 staff, the 6000 sq ft salon will offer the full range of Saks hairdressing and beauty services, and will also have four doctors and dermatologists on-site, offering advanced beauty treatments and injectables.

Mumbai is the commercial and financial capital of India. It has one of the world’s largest harbours and accounts for a major share of the Indian government’s revenue. It is officially the fifth most expensive city in the world and the ideal place for Saks to launch its first salon in India.

We’re also launching a training academy in Mumbai after the fifth salon has opened, with plans to open 30 salons in India over the next five years and a target of 200 sites.
