A Team
The A Team, a group of talented young hairdressers from within the Saks network, has released its eye-catching new collection for 2009.
Alison Dace, Creative Education Manager on the Saks Art Team, says: “The A Team project is a chance for the best talents within the Saks network to work together, while learning from the most established and experienced hairdressing elite. Ultimately we hope they’re the next generation of the Saks Art Team, so watch this space!”
Alison Dace and fellow Art Team member Mario Failla worked closely with the A Team on the shoot. Mario says: “We wanted the collection to portray attitude, independence and strength. We were inspired by dark gothic romance, street, gypsy and bo-ho. A real mix. We brain stormed the ideas to help create two looks each hairdresser on the shoot. There was a focus around asymmetry, solid colours, fringe detail and varied lengths. Colour-wise, the looks ranged from dark bases to reds and blonds. We wanted to echo the bold colour theme in the make-up by using strong neon colours and stripes.”
