Men’s hairdressing/barbering is a specialist skill in demand with the growth of the men’s hairdressing and barbering industry.
The Saks Complete Men’s Hairdressing / Barbering Course for
Beginners covers everything you need to be up and running working as a barber or opening your own barber shop. Successful students receive the industry renowned Saks Diploma and NVQ level 2 in mens hairdressing.
The course content includes:
• Cutting techniques
• Razoring, together with beard and moustache trimming
• Clipper work
• Colour
• How to shampoo and condition the hair and scalp
• Consultation skills
• Style, dress and finishing techniques
• Reception duties, customer care and health and safety
The course modules are taught by experienced men’s hairdressing educators and include theory work, special projects, demonstrations and hands-on workshops. You receive personal guidance and monitoring throughout the course to ensure you are achieving the learning goals required. And, you are provided with all the necessary equipment for the course - including an award winning range of Saksessories styling tools and workbooks. There is also an interactive website to help with your studies.
Students must reach the minimum standards required to qualify. On successful completion of the course, you will obtain the Saks Diploma.
Places are limited and entrance is by interview only. A basic understanding of English is required. Previous hairdressing experience is not required.
Full time - 10 Weeks, Monday to Friday, 10am to 5.00pm (not including Bank Holidays)
Evening - 25 weeks, one evening a week (home study is required)
