Laura Marsh
From a very young age, Laura Marsh knew she wanted to be one of the best hairdressers in the country. At the age of 21 she is a successful franchisee, stylist and member of the Saks Art Team, showing that with Saks anyone can achieve their goals if they put the work in.
Laura started her Saks career in hairdressing as a Saturday girl when she was 14, having left school to pursue her NVQ hairdressing qualification at Saks Guisborough.
Laura quickly proved herself as a rising star and her franchisee, Paul Tennant, realised she was one to watch. Once Laura qualified Paul quickly promoted her to Salon Manager and Style Director, and not long after she was accepted onto the coveted Art Team Scholarship. She is now also a franchisee at Saks Redcar.
Laura credits the training she received from Saks as the key to her success: "The Saks NVQ meant I could work in the salon most of the time - much better than college courses where so many hours are wasted in the classroom. I loved being in the thick of it from the very beginning."
