Philip and Audrey Harkins
Audrey and Philip have been franchisees in the Saks network for several years, after deciding it was time for a career change back in 2002. Whilst looking for a franchise opportunity Audrey said: "We just kept coming back to the name Saks, we thought it was worth a look and once we had made our initial contact we were left in no doubt we wanted to be a part of Saks."
The couple took up a franchising opportunity in Aberdeen and have never looked back. Their second Saks Aberdeen salon opened in 2006 and was just as much of a success. This time the salon was in David Lloyd Club and Audrey says of this, "It was a great success." Now Audrey and Philip aim to weave more of their magic with a third franchise venture, this time at Aberdeen University.
Audrey had no doubts about opening another Saks salon: "The rewards are fantastic! It's definitely for people who like a challenge and are not afraid of hard work. It's a great industry to be in, lots of fun and never a dull moment. Saks is the best in the business, they provide the knowledge and support required for someone new to the industry and just as important is the network of other franchisees who are just a phone call away."
