Saks Royston fundraising

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A MASSIVE well done to our fabulous team at Saks Royston who gave up precious me-time one Sunday in October to open the salon for local charity, The Nicola Emmerson Trust.

This good cause, set up by Julie Emmerson who sadly lost her daughter Nicola to sudden cardiac death, raises funds for Papworth Hospital to research Sudden Cardiac Death in young people.

Principal stylist Charlotte Wood organised the event and all of the fab Saks team gave up their free time to raise money.

Charlotte made lots of scrummy cakes and brought bottles of bucks fizz and wine for clients. The atmosphere in-salon was amazing with all our lovely Saks clients more than happy to take part in this special day.

Julie says: “It was fantastic! Where else can you go on a Sunday and have your hair styled, enjoy a glass of bubbly and eat cupcakes? We also had some great raffle prizes which had all been donated by local companies. I would like to thank all the Saks staff for hosting the event, and all the ladies and gents that came along and showed their support.”

Charlotte opened the salon an hour early to set up and decorated the salon with balloons too. And at the end of they let the balloons off into the sky, in memory of Nicola.

Finally, Charlotte also organised for all the staff to go out for a celebratory drink for raising a whopping £615 in just one day.
