WAHAY! £136k now raised for Eve

Reading Time: 4 minutes

The #Saks4Eve summer of 2018 was mostly about the big *H U G E* challenges; taking our fundraising for The Eve Appeal to £136,226.19. We’re well on our way to raising £250,000 to aid The Eve Appeal‘s research into gynaecological cancers.

Latest round-up here… Saks people and customers, we salute YOU… and YOU… and YOU…

Philip from Saks Aberdeen and the Banchory Beast

Saks Aberdeen salon owner Philip took on the Banchory Beast obstacle race – 10k over tough Scottish terrain. That’s 30 obstacles; water slides; icy loch water; thick mud, swamp crossings and £1,000 in the pot as a result – Philip, take the rest of the year off!

Our two Granite City salons and customers have raised £9,031 to date.

He-Man. Just saying

SECOND glitzy afternoon tea for Saks Hexham

Salon owner Andrea Currah and Saks Hexham are dedicated to our cause. Lots of months in the making and they put on another afternoon tea party at north east five star hotel, Matfen Hall.

A VERY nice venue

Even better, this #Saks4Eve partay was price-matched by Barclays bank – HUGE THANKS BARCLAYS – and the absolute amount raised to date? A breathtaking ££4730.80!

A Slog on the Tyne for Saks Beauty Gosforth

Massive love to Nicola Mark and Kitty Breen of Saks Beauty Gosforth for taking on the Great North 10K. Know our two, know this is a slog on the Tyne indeed. Total amount raised by our Geordie gals so far: £1,997. So proud!

Cheers to Kitty and Nicola

Saks Knutsford at Eve’s Go Red Trek

Paula and Mark LOVE representing #Saks_UK fundraising for The Eve Appeal. Most recently flying the flag by joining Eve’s Go Red 25km walk through the stunning Peak District. Quite some achievement and perhaps a bit of a strain on the old hamstrings for Mark, the cyclist who led our #Saks4Eve coast to coast cycle challenge last year!

Our Saks Knutsford team and Cheshire customers have generously contributed £9,688 so far with Go Red Trek, pennies coming in as we speak.

Mud facials for Saks Middleton

Saks Middleton had a helluva time conquering the Tough Mudder North West Half at Cholmondeley Castle. Team work making the dream work right here! Salon owner Kelly says: “Getting dirty was so much fun. We laughed the whole way round.”

Saks Sedbury Hall and #GNR18

52.4 miles clocked up at this year’s Great North Run by our fab four at Saks Sedbury Hall. Passionate about our cause since day 1, our Sedbury Hall salon’s total now goes stellar at £10,761. Pic shows pre-race #THISGIRLCAN x4!

The moment it all became real!

3 Peaks for Claire at Saks Wetherby

Not twin peaks. THREE peaks. Three Yorkshire Peaks.  In ten hours. All in a day’s work for Saks Wetherby salon owner Claire Fraser. We’re loving this before and after… Claire with fab team-Wetherby and peaking slightly more err au naturel.

Loving the before and after, Claire

Meanwhile back at the ranch…

What goes on in our salons is equally brilliant. Saks Whitley Bay put on a #GORED day of makeovers and fun, banking another £200. And team-Saks HQ loves any excuse to wear red, eat red and #GORED. Another time-out tea party with random red eats, pots of char, a gynae quiz and good banter as always.
