SAKS HEXHAM… GLITZY AFTERNOON TEA AT MATFEN HALL

About salon owner Andrea Currah and our fab-u-lous Saks Hexham team. With help from great mates at Saks Durham and Saks Whitley Bay our lovely lot raised over £4,000 with a big Afternoon Tea party at 4-star Matfen Hall recently, bringing Saks Hexham’s contribution to £8,190.04!

#Saks4Eve t-shirts at the ready

The event included raffle, tombola, auction and special words from guest speaker Sharon Hodgson; Shadow Minister for Public Health and Chair of the APPG on Ovarian Cancer. Sharon had met Andrea at The Eve Appeal’s Make Time For Tea launch at House of Commons in February 2016. Andrea made it her mission to hook up with Sharon in the name of the cause and Sharon – who’s been aware of #Saks4Eve since day 1 – was only too happy to help.

SAKS ABERDEEN SKYDIVES

James, Gemma and Celine of our Saks Aberdeen salons raised £3,933 YES £3,933 skydiving recently at the Paragon Skydiving Club 90 minutes away.

SKYDIVE TAKE 1: Sunday 27th November 16 . Our trio arrived at the skydive centre at 9am with the sun shining. After training James was good to go, but after getting all ‘suited and booted’, the instructor said visibility was too poor to jump and the date was rescheduled.

Saks Aberdeen cancelled skydive

SKYDIVE TAKE 2: Sunday 4th December 16. A beautiful day and all three #Saks4Eve skydives went ahead. Gemma says: “One of the most petrifying, but thrilling experiences ever. I felt on top of the world, flying through the clouds. All the more special as we were raising money (and awareness) for The Eve Appeal – a great women’s cancer charity.”
