UK's Best Training Provider
Saks is officially acknowledged as the UK's Best Training Provider (awarded Beacon Status by the Quality Improvement Agency and all grade ones by the Adult Learning Inspectorate for providing outstanding training).
As an approved training provider, Saks trains individuals (apprentices) to government recognised qualifications, within Saks and independent hairdressing or beauty salons throughout the UK, to a nationally agreed and set framework. A learner (Apprentice), works towards National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy Levels 2 and 3, and the relevant key skills.

A Saks apprenticeship allows you to get stuck in and get earning straight away. You will gain experience in a real working environment. The training is totally flexible so it can be fitted in around you and around the salon's schedule. You will work towards NVQ's Level 2 and 3 (Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy) and you can expect to achieve these within 1 to 3 years. No previous experience or qualifications are necessary and best of all there are NO course fees.
What's in it for me as a salon owner?
Salons taking on an apprentice can expect to gain a valuable team member, who assists the existing salon team, under supervision. Once qualified, the candidate is fully versed in working practices and salons have a say in training and assessment. This means there is no need to unlearn bad habits, having trained to the highest Saks standards.
How is training implemented?
An open learning package gives the learner (Apprentice) comprehensive practical and theoretical information, supported by the in salon training. A qualified assessor from Saks Education visits the salon on a regular basis to supplement practical training, perform assessments and to offer support to the learner in any way they wish.
